E-2D Block II Clears Critical Design Review, Accelerating Next-Generation Command and Control To The Fleet
Representing the next evolution of Delta System Software Configuration 6 (DSSC-6), the Block II upgrade delivers the software foundation for rapid capability insertion. The E-2/C-2 Airborne Command & Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) with industry partner Northrop Grumman convened a technical review board to rigorously assess the finalized system Product baseline. The successful Block II CDR event officially transitions the upgrade program out of the design phase and into physical aircraft retrofits and flight-testing phases.
Flight tests of the Block II configured E-2D are scheduled for fiscal year 2029.
PMA-231 manages the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and E-2C Hawkeye throughout their lifecycles.
